- 5 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/3 (1lb.) lentils, washed
- 1 16oz. can tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. dried parsley

- Bring water to boil in 2qt. saucepan. Add salt and lentils. Simmer for
- 30 minutes. Do not drain. Add rest of ingredients, and simmer 30 more
- minutes. Adjust consistency if needed by adding more water.
